Sample Program - Primary School

 

Day 1

 

Arrive at Karoonda Park after visiting Buchan Caves and having lunch - Monday afternoon can be spent doing the initiative course, which is basically designed to foster teamwork and group interaction, as a summary to the initiative course a few all group activities are normally undertaken.

Day 2

Day two - Standard activity day

Introductory Abseiling-Flying Fox

There are two activities in the morning and two in the afternoon, normally the students ride horses down to the abseiling cliff. They then swap with the abseiling group at a set of yards not far from the cliff.

 

Day 3

Two options:-

  • Rafting

    Students are bussed to the Snowy River near the Victorian / New South Wales border (~1hr).  Student spend the day rafting grade 2 rapids with qualified staff and a range of activities including bush cooking, swimming, setting up camp and generally interacting with the environment.

  • Option of camping out.

  • Camp fire, night walk to Vic / NSW border and damper.

  • High Country Visit

Day 4

Pack up camp arrive back at Karoonda Park for BBQ Lunch.

Orienteering course to Dingo Hill

 

Day 5

A selection from activities not encountered by students during the week.

Pack up and depart from camp
