Day Tours - General
The spectacular Snowy River Valley lies some 700 vertical
meters beneath the Gelantipy plateau. Access to the river is by remote
tracks and trails through the surrounding farm and forested lands. Bushwalks,
lookouts, and summer swim stops are made, allowing an appreciation of
this legendary region and contrasting environment to grow. Three trips
are offered. Routes may vary depending on Seasonal road closures and
weather conditions.
4x4 Summer Day Trip
Departing from the back of the property via Dingo Hill,
stops are made at logging coupes, Tulloch Ard Lookout and Ash Saddle
walking trail while before entering into the near by Snowy River National
Park. The calls of many bird species can be heard, especially the illusive
lyre bird and the deafening bell bird. Tall forest covers the plateau,
while down into the valley distinctly dry vegetation grows. Lunch is
by the Snowy River followed by a swim and canoe paddle up through the
Gorge. Minimum of 6 persons required.
Cost: $105.00
