Sample 5 Day Primary School Program

Day 1
Pick up from School
Visit and tour Buchan Caves
Arrive at Karoonda Park for introduction to camp and facilities
Initiative activities
Night walk after dinner

Day 2 
Personal challenge day
Student have a day based on the camp property rotating through a range  of activities.
Students generally spend an 1½ hours at each activity in small groups.
Activities could typically include some of the following:
  • 12m abseiling on a natural rock
  • Two 200m flying fox's
  • Horse riding
  • Tree identification course
  • Initiative course
  • Low ropes course
  • Yabbing

Day 3
Rafting on the Snowy River
Student go out for the day to the nearby Snowy River experiencing unique environment, history and of course a paddle down the mighty River.

The best way to fully experience the Snowy River is include a camp out next to it. Karoonda Park provides everything required for the night out.  This is an experience staff and students alike cherish.

Day 4
Group Activities
Students arrive back from the Snowy River at lunch time and that leaves the afternoon for Orienteering.
Dingo Hill Orienteering course requires students to use a compass and work in small groups to find their way to the top. At the top students have a commanding view of our Property and the Gelantipy district.  On a clear day Mt  Kosciuszko can be seen.

Day 5
Student pack and clean up after Breakfast.
Visit our farm and see some of the cattle that make up our 700 head of Herefords.
Wave goodbye and go home with some new and interesting experiences.
