Trail Rides
1 Hour Horse Trail Ride
A relaxed ride through the Australian Bush by the Karoonda property often seeing wild animals such as kangaroos, wallabies and at times koalas. Geared more so for the beginner rider and the horse lover, all group abilities can be catered for. Bookings mandatory. Minimum 3 person unless joining organised rides.

1.5 Hour Horse Trail Ride
Heading out beyond the Karoonda property into the surrounding bushland a variety of trail routes are accessed. Trail selection is dependent on the group’s ability, day’s weather conditions and seasonal feature, may it be wildflowers, animals or even at times some cattle work.
A great way to see more of the surrounding countryside and gain greater horse handling experience. Driza Bone coats and saddlebags are supplied if required. Bookings preferred. Minimum 3 persons unless joining organised rides.

3 Hour Horse Trail Ride
Requiring some Horse Riding confidence half day trips trek through some challenging terrain. The “Meadows” loop is a favoured trip providing superb views down over the steep Snowy River Valley and to the mountains beyond. Other routes follow the back fences lines out into the Karoonda Property through the surrounding bush and creek gullies.
Light refreshments and an in Camp lunch are provided. Driza Bone coats and saddlebags are supplied if required. Bookings essential. Minimum 3 persons unless joining organised rides.

Full Day Horse Trail Ride
Saddle up and explore the high peaks and deep valleys of the Gelantipy region, accessing a variety of bush routes and forestry roads. Trips may start from either the Karoonda Park stables or a variety of other locations as required. These rides best be undertaken by those with a reasonable level of ability. Lunch and refreshments are provided out on the trail. Driza Bone coats and saddlebags are supplied if required.
