White Water Trips

The Legendary Snowy River lies only 7 km to the east of Karoonda Park. It winds its way 700 meters beneath the Gelantipy Plateau through some of Australia's most impressive scenery. Trips start in either the Kosciuszko, Alpine or Snowy River National Park's, determined by the river water level and groups chosen trip. Access to the river takes on average one and a half hours via the Barry Way, "Bonang Hwy", or by steep remote four wheel drive trails.
Expeditions on the Mitchell and Mitta Mitta Rivers are availiable to group bookings of 10+ persons. Rapids negotiated vary in grade from one through to four on day trips and multi day trips. Please contact us for a quote. Snowy River trips depart from Karoonda Park or per arrangement. Reasonable river water levels are required for all trips. Prices are per person and minimum number for all trips is 8 participants. We can arrange individuals and small groups together if you don't have a full group. |

Willis to Guttamurh Ford
A fun, easy going day cruising the Snowy River through a rather open section of the valley. A great trip for anyone wishing for a gentle introduction to white water rafting, family groups and self guiding sport rafts for the more adventurous. Several grade 2 rapids are run. A picnic lunch and Transport from Karoonda Park is included.

Campbell's Knob to Betts Creek
An absolute awsome trip through some of the Snowy River's most increadible and special areas. Take on the rapids of "Gentle Annie", "The Compressor" and "Georges Mistake" under the towering gorge walls by the Forks spur. River access is via steep and remote tracks, between the months of November to May.
Experience Australia's best wilderness river section on the Legendary Snowy.
Best time: late spring / early summer when the water is up and plenty of day light time

A casual fun trip along one of Eastern Australia's best river sections. Starting at the border of New South Wales and Victoria, "The Snowy" winds its way through the remote White Box and Cyprus Pine rain shadow country to McKillop's Bridge. It is the raft's crew that take charge to negotiate the grade 1 and 2 rapids while support is provided by Guides in kayaks. Camping gear and expedition meals supplied and carried within the raft. Price includes 1 night dorm accommodation pre trip.
